Last month I did my radio show, Broad Strokes, on Washington Heights Free Radio (WHFR), and it was a blast! I was so relaxed, and perhaps even funny.
I really enjoyed the playlist I came up with. I think it’s probably one of my best.
Anyway, this show is dedicated to Paul Squires, an amazing poet and friend who passed away recently. Miss you Paul, you were the lantern in the darkness.

Great program, Calypso Sally! and the Red Wheelbarrow is up there among my recently discovered favorites. That image you have used! The broken wine glass on the piano. Perfectly appropriate for your dedication to Paul, though chilling. (x)

glad to have stopped by, love the foto… pianos always have a story to tell…. i like how you sed you were happy, relaxed and funny!!!… some great picks in that list too…. funny how a person can leave such a big empty hole where he once lived… i like to think paul is still hanging around in a totally different way with the same ol coolness… and that poem, it is a wonderful blend of color and thought.. it is the simple things we care so much about… take care,

i was thinking of what to write, um, just ‘this is great’ or something and the dog next door started howling, cuz i’m playing the tracks pretty loud, 2nd floor, windows open, early evening. anyway, its a wonderful thing, thanks for doing this broadcast
